For over 15 years, DSFA’s personnel have served a wide-range of organizations (inclusive of government), including the Arlington County Department of Health and Human Services, Service Employees International Union, the Government of the District of Columbia, Democratic National Committee, Southeastern University, American Center for International Labor Solidarity (AFL-CIO), Adult Care Center-Winchester VA, Virginia Adult Services Day Association, Anointed to Serve Ministries Inc., SCLC/WOMEN Inc., National Council on Crime and Delinquency, TransAfrica Forum, Congressional Black Caucus Education, Training And Leadership Institute, Walter Reuther Library at Wayne State University, National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, Washington DC Metropolitan Labor Council (AFL-CIO), Alameda County Home Care Committee, Vote Health Coalition, United Healthcare Workers, and Alameda County Alliance For Health Board.

DSFA provides expert advice, assistance, guidance and counseling in support of agencies management, organizational and business improvement efforts. Services may also include studies, analysis and reports documenting any proposed developmental, consultative or implementation efforts such as:

• Systems alignment
• Program planning and implementation
• Cycle time
• High performance work
• Leadership systems
• Performance measures and indicators
• Process and productivity improvement
• Organizational assessments, program audits and evaluations

DSFA also provides training, facilitating and related decision support services for agencies engaged in collaboration efforts, working groups, or integrated product, process, or self-directed teams. Agencies bringing together diverse teams and/or groups with common and divergent interests may require a neutral party to assist them in:

• The use of problem solving techniques
• Defining and refining the agenda
• Convening and leading large and small group briefings and discussion
• Resolving disputes, disagreements and divergent views
• Recording discussion content and focusing decision-making
• Providing a draft for the permanent record
• De-briefing and overall planning

In addition, DSFA provides expert consultation, assistance, and deliverables associated with all aspects of surveying—performing all phases of the survey process to include, but not limited to:

• Planning survey design
• Sampling
• Survey development
• Pretest/pilot surveying
• Assessing reliability and validity
• Administering surveys using the various types of data collection methods as appropriate (e.g., computer-assisted surveying, focus groups
• Written questionnaires, in-person and telephone interviewing)
• Database administration
• Analyses of quantitative and qualitative survey data

Production of reports to include, but not limited to: 

• Description and summary of results with associated graphs, charts, and tables
• Description of data collection and survey administration methods
• Discussion of samples, characteristics and definitions of what the data represents
• Analysis of non-response
• Briefings of results to include discussion of recommendations and follow-up actions
